They Are Lying to You About AI!

AI is here to stay. It's not going away. Thus far I have found it useful as a research tool, an editing tool, and even a conversation piece (yes, I've had actual conversations with ChatGPT). The copyeditors of the world aren't going to like this, but I predict AI editing will far surpass the ability of a human within a few years if not sooner. Developmental editors of the human kind will likely always be needed since they work according to an author's particular style.
