Some writers are so afraid of rejection and failure they stop taking chances and refuse to experiment, always choosing the safe path or the path of least resistance. Of course, some authors experience failure so often they quit. That's the ultimate failure because then there is no chance for success at all. There's failure in all aspects of life. It's how we deal with them...indeed how we survive them...which separates the big kids from the little.
